A private yoga class in your space

Group yoga with i-thriv is a private, instructor-led class held wherever you are — a living room, backyard, hotel lawn, rooftop, corporate conference room, or event venue. It's booked as a single flat-rate session for the whole group (6–20 people), not per person, so the cost per participant drops as your group grows.

The style is adjustable. Tell us your group's mix of experience and what you want the class to feel like, and your instructor plans the flow accordingly — gentle and restorative, all-levels vinyasa, slow flow with longer holds, or an energizing morning practice.

Great for groups that don't normally do yoga together

Because it's private, the class is friendly to first-timers. No one feels behind, and your instructor offers modifications for tighter bodies, injuries, and varied experience levels — including chair-based options if needed.

  • Bachelorette weekends, milestone birthdays, and family reunions
  • Corporate offsites, leadership retreats, and wellness weeks
  • Wedding-morning classes for the bridal party and guests
  • Retreat centers, vacation rentals, and resort programming
  • Community gatherings, mom groups, and neighborhood events

Space, mats, and what to bring

Plan for about 25 square feet per person of clear floor space — roughly a mat-length plus room to extend arms. Grass, wood, tile, and carpet all work. For groups outdoors, a shaded lawn or covered patio is ideal.

Guests bring their own yoga mat when possible. We can advise on mat rentals for larger groups or guests traveling in. Wear comfortable clothing you can move in and have water nearby.

Pair it with a sound bath or spa party

One of our most popular event formats is a 60-minute yoga flow followed by a 45-minute sound bath savasana closing — a full nervous-system reset in under two hours. Group yoga also pairs well with a spa party or chair massage station for wellness-themed corporate days and retreats.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is a private group yoga class beginner-friendly?+

Yes. Because the class is just for your group, your instructor plans a flow that works for the experience levels in the room and offers modifications throughout. First-timers are welcome — no one feels behind.

How many people can join a private group yoga class?+

6 to 20 participants works best. Pricing is a single flat rate for the whole group, not per person, so per-guest cost drops as your group grows.

Do you bring yoga mats?+

Guests bring their own mats when possible, since preferences vary. For larger groups or destination events where guests are traveling in, we can advise on mat rentals — just ask when you book.

How much space do we need for a group yoga session?+

Plan for about 25 square feet per person of clear floor space — roughly a mat plus room to extend arms. Living rooms, patios, backyards, hotel lawns, rooftops, and event venues all work.

Can we do yoga outside?+

Absolutely. Outdoor yoga is popular at vacation rentals, resort lawns, and rooftops across Southern California. A shaded or covered area is ideal — early morning or golden hour tends to be most comfortable.

Can we combine group yoga with a sound bath or spa party?+

Yes — pairing yoga with a sound bath savasana or a spa party is one of our most-requested event formats. Tell us your window and we'll help you sequence the day.

What style of yoga do you teach?+

Style is adjustable to your group. Common requests include gentle/restorative, all-levels vinyasa, slow flow, and energizing morning practice. Tell your instructor the vibe you want and any injuries in the group when booking.
